Wacom MTE450 Review by Jim Thompson (Florida)

I do a lot of photo editing and this is my first pen tablet. At first I chose this based on the Wacom brand name and low price alone, just in case it wouldn't see much use. I figured I could upgrade to a fancier and larger model later on. Well let's just say, I use it many times a day and more importantly have no reason to upgrade. The small footprint lets it sit next to my keyboard on the sliding keyboard drawer. Like most folks I eat at my computer, and this thing is impervious to crumbs, good for me. The pen and its eraser function as well as the grab and drag function better than expected.

This will really allow you to edit your photos or perform artwork much better than even the most precise laser mouse. I once heard someone say using a mouse for photo editing is a bit like trying to write or draw with a bar of soap, and it is true. Don't hesitate, buy this and never look back.

The bamboo wacaom tablet is about what you expect. It does what it says it does and that is all it does. I would say this is great for someone who is an amateur artist trying to get into digital artwork but not throw a lot of money at it. If you were going to do anything serious with a wacom tablet, I would suggest you get one that has a lcd screen built into it. The disconnect between the hand and looking a computer monitor quickly becomes an aggravation when trying to accomplish any serious work.
