If you are in the market for a battery operated water timer DO NOT BUY this piece of junk. I had it 2 months then it died, it cost about $25.00 new. The only "ideal" location for this timer is in a garbage can. Raindrip products are garbage.

I have had many of these timers, and I have had to replace each one of them every year. Worse, they stop working intermittently and, before I find out, the plants are dead or dying. The basic design is simple to program but the quality is terrible. The battery set-up just looks like it will fail and, guess what,it does. The program knobs are impossible to turn with wet hands. This model has been on the market for years. How long is it going to take for Raindrip to fix this?

So I'm giving up. Is there anyone who makes a decent battery timer?
